EKKIOS ON THE MOVE
Faith Taking Root Across East & West Africa

Dear Beloved Partners in Prayer, Grace and peace to you in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. During July and August, we continued our ministry across East and West Africa, including the Horn of Africa. I am deeply grateful for your prayers, which have sustained so much of this work. Thank you for continuing to stand with EKKIOS.
WHEN THE GOSPEL CHANGES EVERYTHING
Across East Africa and the Horn of Africa, we continue to witness lives transformed, families reconciled, and communities changed through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Men and women are being drawn out of darkness into His marvelous light. We can only describe it as a miracle, and we thank the Lord for the privilege of seeing His work.

ONE CALLING, TWO CITIES
During July and August, several conferences took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Nairobi, Kenya. They brought together many leaders from emerging church movements across the region. It was a joy to sit with these brothers and sisters. These men and women carry real responsibility for the flocks entrusted to them, and together we opened the Word of God.
Called forward: our identity in Christ
We look ahead to where we are going, rather than back to where we came from. Our past, our background, and the community we left behind do not define us. We are defined by the One who called us and made us new: Jesus the Christ.
The Church for this moment
What it means to be the ecclesia of Jesus Christ, the Kyrios, and to be courageous as the Church in this appointed moment.

FAITH BEYOND BORDERS
The Lord has brought many Afghans, mainly from the Hazara people, to East Africa. Many are now coming to know His saving grace. Meeting them at a conference was deeply encouraging. Even amid great uncertainty, the Lord is meeting them and drawing them to Himself. Many are currently in transit and awaiting resettlement elsewhere. Please pray for the Lord's provision, protection, and peace as they wait.
Many of these leaders serve in very difficult situations, where rejection and persecution are part of daily life. They seek to know Christ and the power of His resurrection while walking day by day in the fellowship of His sufferings (Philippians 3:10). They have counted the cost and continue to stand.
STAND WITH THEM: SIX WAYS TO PRAY
Please bring these brothers and sisters before the Lord in prayer:
- For the protection of these leaders and their families, as many of them live under real and ongoing threat.
- For endurance and joy, that they would not grow weary in doing good as they bear a heavy cost each day.
- For wisdom and boldness as they lead their communities and disciple new believers in difficult and often hostile environments.
- That the Lord would provide for the practical needs of these leaders and the young churches they shepherd.
- That the Lord would continue His work of transformation across West Africa and the Horn of Africa, drawing many more out of darkness and into His marvelous light.
- For the Afghan and Hazara believers now in East Africa, many of whom are in transit and awaiting resettlement elsewhere. Pray for the Lord's provision, protection, and peace as they wait, and for continued grace to know Him.
Thank you again for standing with EKKIOS in prayer. You may never know how far your prayers reach, but we can see their fruit in the lives of these leaders and the communities they serve.
Grace and peace, Bishop Dr. Yassir Eric On behalf of EKKIOS
